McDevitt Taco Supply: A Boulder Original

It started with one taco cart on Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall. From there, we grew into a fleet of taco carts serving music festivals across the country. Eventually we added a brewery and began catering events around Boulder, Denver, and Colorado’s Front Range.

From taco cart to South Boulder kitchen

Our growing catering business is what led us to a brick-and-mortar restaurant. For years we rented commissary kitchens to prep for the carts and for catering. Business kept building, however, and those temporary spaces couldn’t keep up. So we started looking for a kitchen of our own. Then a space opened in the Meadows Shopping Plaza, and we jumped on it.

A kitchen that became a bar and restaurant

At first the plan was modest — a taco window serving the shopping plaza. But a window couldn’t contain us. Before long, the kitchen project had grown into plans for a full bar and restaurant.

Open in South Boulder since 2017

In the fall of 2017, our doors opened. Today McDevitt Taco Supply pours craft cocktails and rotating local drafts alongside Boulder-style tacos, daily at Foothills and Baseline. Next door, heady coffee co. serves espresso and locally roasted coffee from the same crew.
